At this point, it’s time to install your new thermostat. Take the base plate and hold it against the wall space where the old thermostat was located. Be sure that it is level before you mark the screw holes with your pencil. “You screw the base plate to the wall after marking the holes.

Once the base plate has been correctly affixed, it’s on to the wiring. There should be a letter on each wire that corresponds to a terminal on your new thermostat. Simply match the letters and hook the wires up to the correct terminals. Then snap the thermostat onto the base plate once all the wires are connected.
